(1957) Better known as "Orient Express" due to its Asian origin and its aggressive style of play, Chan is the holder of 10 WSOP bracelets, among which the two consecutive ones (1987 and 1988) that he won in the Main Event of the most prestigious of the poker circuits.

Two bracelets that could be three, but lost the 1989 final to Phill Hellmuth. This defeat did not allow him to get the ring of NBA champion Jerry Buss, the recently deceased former owner of the L.A.Lakers and a declared passionate of poker, had promised if he could chain three bracelets consecutively.
A member of the select Poker Hall of Fame since 2002, in 2005 he became the first player to win 10 WSOP events, a mark later matched by Doyle Brunson and surpassed by the aforementioned Hellmuth.
